As part of the celebration of its 14th anniversary, ADTEMPCO Coopmart under the Business Enterprise Department once again reached out to persons deprived of liberty (PDL) from the Abra Provincial Jail and Bucay District Jail.
On October 29-30, 2021, Ms. Belinda Palecpec, head of Business Enterprise, personally delivered the prizes and lunch packages requested by the jail personnel in their activities for the National Correctional Consciousness Week 2021.
Annually, the PDLs are constant recipients of outreach activities of ADTEMPCO. They were also contracted to make candles and eco-bricks as their livelihood program wherein they were paid for every item they produce but was halted due to the pandemic. Other projects are already in the pipeline to continue supporting them as they hone their craft to produce items which can be sold that they too can earn their keep while serving their time inside the jail facilities.
Earlier on October 26, 2021, ADTEMPCO Coopmart held its anniversary mass officiated by BOD priests, BOD Chair Fr. Cirilo Ortega, and BOD members Fr. Ruben Valdez and Fr. Rene Amasi.us leo.
