Blademhir M. Mendoza is 24-year old bachelor from Dangdangla, Bangued, Abra. He is undergraduate of Bachelor of Science in Architecture in the Abra Valley Colleges.
He learned from a friend that there are various training centers in Abra that are offering trainings from TESDA.
He was inspired and so he decided to enroll and get a training. Since he had a passion for coffee, he took up Barista NCII at Mt. Carmel Agri-Tourism and Training Center, Inc.
“After my training and assessment, I have learned a lot about coffee”, he said. His training at Mt. Carmel Agri-Tourism and Training Center, Inc., has given him the bravery, determination, and fire to become what he is destined to be: a coffee shop owner. Because of his barista training, he was able to open Daily Dose-DD Cafe’. It has been open for two years, and the experience has expanded his business career. He began to picture not just having branches within the province, but also conquering the entire country’s food and beverages business.
They are now the number one coffee shop in Abra, offering smoothies, milk teas, and a variety of cakes. He found the technical skills that he learned at Mt. Carmel to be extremely beneficial, particularly in the production of latte, cappuccino, frappe, and other beverages. He is forever grateful to Mt. Carmel for the training.
When asked about his message to Mt. Carmel, he gladly replied, “I am very thankful to Mt. Carmel for making Barista training available because sobrang daming naitulong sa akin, sobrang laki ng impact sa buhay ko. Dun ko kinuha lahat ng knowledge, ng hobbies, ng mga kaalaman ko about coffee… hindi lang sa kape kundi pati rin sa business”, he ended.
