ADTEMPCO OPENS AGOO BRANCH: A MILESTONE OF GROWTH AND SERVICE

Abra Diocesan teachers and Employees Muti-Purpose Cooperative (ADTEMPCO), a cooperative dedicated to empowering communities and fostering financial growth, has officially opened its branch in Agoo, La Union. This exciting milestone signifies the organization’s commitment to extending its reach and providing excellent services to even more communities in the Philippines.

The grand opening, held on January 8, 2025, was a momentous occasion for both Adtempco and the residents of Agoo. The event was attended by local government officials, ADTEMPCO representatives, and supporters from various branches, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the cooperative in La Union.

A Warm Welcome and Community Support

The opening ceremony was blessed with a Holy Mass, officiated by Fr. Dominador Ramos, SVD, which set a spiritual tone for the event. Following the Mass, the office blessing took place, symbolizing a fresh start and divine guidance for the branch’s operations. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was immediately followed by the inauguration of the OTOP Hub (One Town, One Product), a crucial initiative aimed at promoting local products and empowering small businesses in the area.

The event saw the presence of notable figures from both the local government and Adtempco, reflecting the branch’s importance to the region’s economic growth Mr. Marvin Rivera, Municipal Administrator of Agoo, Ms. Connie de Guzman, La Union Provincial Cooperative Development Specialist, Mr. Marvin Archanghel, OIC - Provincial Director of DTI Abra. The representatives of ADTEMPCO were key figures who have driven the organization’s growth and success. Engr. Irene B. Bringas, Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Jane T. Asiong, Head of Savings and Credit Operations, Rhodora Lab-oyan, Area Manager for Savings and Credit Operations outside Abra, Ms. Holly Pearl Velasco-Bataller, Head of Member Relations and Development, and Adrian Baldovieso, In Charge of Special Projects. The support from these key individuals highlights the significant role Adtempco plays in advancing cooperative development and supporting local businesses.

Ms. Leila Zulueta, owner of the Zulueta Commercial Building, where the new branch is located, was also present in the event.

Adtempco employees from various branches, including branch managers, loan officers, and bookkeepers, were present to show their support and dedication to the success of the new Agoo branch. After the official opening, these employees actively engaged with the community by going out to market the cooperative and introduce its services to the residents of Agoo.

The new ADTEMPCO branch is located at the 2nd Floor, Zulueta Commercial Building, San Antonio, Agoo, La Union, and is ready to serve the community with a wide range of financial services, including savings, loans, and cooperative development programs.
